Away from the toasty heat, indoor playgrounds are great for little ones to climb, crawl and run to their heart’s content, while you sit back and keep an eye on them as they exhaust their seemingly endless supply of energy.

Forgot your umbrella/sun screen? No problem! As long as you don’t forget your pair of socks that is.

1. The Parenthood Playland at Sunway Pyramid Mall

If your little princes, princesses and knights are in need of a castle to rule over, you don’t have to search far, for The Parenthood Playland, a London-street themed playground has a big castle-like play structure. There are spaces for little ones to climb and crawl, slides, ball pit, mini trampolines and more for your little highnesses to explore.

Jungle Gym at Atria Shopping Gallery is a huge indoor playground, possibly one of the biggest in the area. With the main play structure as huge as it is, little ones get to climb and crawl through tunnels, zoom down the different slides, shoot sponge balls with air guns, play with bouncy balls and so much more. Aside from that there is also a movie room and a play area for the younger ones, featuring mini-merry-go-round, slide and ball-pit.

The different play areas catering to different age groups, not only provides a good physical workout but also a mental workout for the little ones. Jungle Gym also has outlets at Bangsar Shopping Centre and Sky Avenue.

3. Waka Waka

Located in the lower ground of Furama Bukit Bintang Hotel is Waka Waka, a magical-themed indoor playground filled with castle-like play structure, prince and princess stickers and a magnificent carriage. This magical kingdom also has an active volcano toddlers can scale and slide down, alongside multiple slides, tunnels and obstacles. Separate from the main play area is also a play space with smaller equipment for the younger tots.

And while your little humans are frolicking about at the magical kingdom, you can sit back and relax at the in-house bistro.

4. SuperPark Malaysia

At SuperPark, you don’t have to just watch your kids have fun, you can join in the fun with them. Spread across three themed spaces, Adventure Area, Game Area and Freestyle Hall, SuperPark has an array of activities catering to the different age groups and interest.

At Adventure Area, there’s a Pedal Car Track, Ninja Track, Tube Slide, Kid’s Gym and more. Sporty little tykes will love the Game Area where they can engage in games such as bowling, basketball, baseball and soccer.

The Freestyle Hall is where you’ll find the foam pit, climbing wall, trampolines and a synthetic ice-skating rink. With so much to do, it won’t be a wonder to see the hours fly away.

5. Starship Galactica

Starship Galactica is a three-storey high indoor playland located within 1 Utama Shopping Centre. The playground, which overlooks the entire mall, is designed to give the feel of being in an outer space. Play elements include ball pool, air-gun, slides, trampoline, climbing tumbles, and obstacles. 

There is a small cafe beside the playground where parents can chill out with a snack while keeping an eye on the little ones.

6. Kizsports & Gym at Lotus's Cheras

The Kizsports & Gym indoor playground is divided into two parts - one for tots below 4 years old and the other for kids up to 12 years old. The soft padded playgrounds have the usual play elements that you can find in most indoor playgrounds - slides, tunnels, a small ball pit and climbing features, among others. In addition to spaces where parents and guardians can sit and keep an eye on their kids, there is also a toilet within the premise in case your little ones are in a hurry.

7. Space Joe Playland

Space Joe Playland is an outer space-themed indoor playground located on the first floor of 1 Mont Kiara. The main play structure within the space is quite large spanning multiple levels. It has all the usual favourites like the trampolines, slides, a big ball pit, tunnels and climbing elements, including a brightly colored "spider web".

Additionally, there is a separate area for the smaller guests featuring little slides, a small ball pit, mini tunnel, and climbing nets, among others. It is situated right next to a seating area, which makes it easier for parents to keep a watchful eye on the tots.

8. Kid's E World

Kid's E World is a tropical themed playland, equipped with gigantic toys in motion, a space for kids to exercise their growing bodies. In addition to a main structure with slides and a ball pit, there are also other play elements scattered around the playground.
