1. Join The Lion City Sailors Football School's Holiday Camp

The football school affiliated to one of the most popular and successful local football clubs, Lion City Sailors (LCS) Football School, will be conducting soccer camps this June holidays! Participants will enjoy three days of crazy football fun, while honing their skills at the same time. Activities include fun football games and challenges, as well as intensive individual ball skills and techniques.

This camp will be suitable for boys and girls between the ages of 5 - 12 years old. Camps are available in full day or half day, one day or 3 day options, pricing details are as follows

  • $400 for 3 full days
  • $220 for 3 half days (Mattar only)
  • $180 for 1 full day
  • $80 for 1 half day (Mattar only)

2. Visit the Reopened What The Pug! Cafe

Opening Hours: Tue - Sun 12 pm - 7.45pm (Closed on Mondays), by appointment only
Admission: $20 per pax / 45 mins session

Closed for renovations in April, What The Pug is a dog-petting cafe that is home to 12 adorable pugs! The cafe reopened with a new dog-treats cafe where you can purchase treats for the pugs too! 

Visits are by appointments only. Tickets can be purchased online at $20 per person for a 45mins session. Each ticket includes a drink and a polaroid photo souvenir. 

3. Book A Camp 1N Experience At Singapore Discovery Centre

The popular camping holiday programme by Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC) is back for the June 2022 holidays! Choose between two different fun-filled family-friendly experiences and opt for either the ‘Shiok’ Camping Experience (fully air-conditioned indoor setting) or the ‘Chio’ Outdoor Glamping Experience (outdoor camping by the Discovery Lake)!

4. Enjoy The Mesmerising View Of Rainbow Connection II at Malay Heritage Centre

Rainbow Connection II at the Malay Heritage Centre (MHC) is an outdoor installation comprising of 500 suspended solar light modules made from upcycled cookie containers and solar lights.

Co-created by local artist Lee Yun Qin and underserved communities, these light modules are individually unique, and come together to form a fantastical sight when lit up at night, scattering prismatic projections all around. As the units gently rotate and sway in the wind, the installation seemingly comes alive through the dynamic play of shadows, lights and colours. 

Don't miss this magical sight at the MHC lawn and fountain this May!

7. Free Water Play At PLAY @ Heights Park, Toa Payoh

Venue: In-front of Blk 144 Lorong 2 Toa Payoh
Opening Hours: 8 am - 9 pm (Water Playpark)

This newly opened play venue at Toa Payoh caused quite a frenzy when it first opened in April. If you have not had the opportunity to visit yet, May might be a great time to visit after the initial hype is gone! 

PLAY @ Heights Park is more than just a water play venue. It includes a sand playground, a high elements playground, a trampoline park and even a riding zone for little ones to ride on bicycles and kick scooters! 

What's interesting about this play venue is its location among the HDB blocks - but it remains highly accessible, approx 10 - 15 mins from Toa Payoh MRT. 

8. Play At The New SMIGY Indoor Playground at United Square Mall

Venue: United Square Level 1, Opposite Information Services
Opening Hours: 10 am - 8 pm (Mon - Thu), 10 am - 9 pm (Fri - Sun)
Admission: $19 for an hour, $29 for 2 hours

Opening its 3rd outlet at United Square Mall, SMIGY Indoor Playground's latest outlet boast a huge ball-pit filled with pink and white balls, a Hinoki wooden-block filled sandpit, a trampoline park, pretend play areas and more. 

SMIGY United Square is located at Level 1 of the popular kids mall and will include a cafe (opening later) for parents to have their meals and take a break while watching over their kids. With the various play elements, this will appeal to kids of various ages - we recommend toddlers to lower primary. 

9. Jump For Joy At Let's Play D'Marquee

More than the usual inflatable playground, Let's Play @ D'Marquee will feature 14 thrilling attractions that include the thrilling Virtual Reality (VR) shooting game, King Kong Robots, new and improved mini dinosaur rides, as well as a variety of bouncy castles, sand pit. The entire play area will be over 17,000 sqf, for kids to bounce, battle, slide and soar through the different zones.

The play venue will start from 7 May until 9 Aug with a refresh in the attractions at the end of June. Tickets for the experience in May - June is available on KKday , while tickets for July - August are on Trip.com.

17. Attend The Newly Launched STEM Class @ Kaboodle

Collaborating with Curiosity Kids, parents can visit Kaboodle every Monday to take part in a STEM class for 4 - 8 year olds. This class will provide a platform for little scientists to keep their thinking cap on and be inquisitive! Kids will learn and explore scientific principles through hands-on experiments and games. They also discuss and analyze findings to understand practical application of the scientific principles

18. Bring The Kids To  The Resumed Fire Station Open Houses

Admission: FREE (walk-in, registration only required for groups of more than 10)

From 30 Apr 2022, Fire Station Open Houses will be resuming and you can start planning a trip to a nearby station on any Saturday! You can simply walk-in at one of the 2 slots to meet the firefighters and paramedics, and learn more on how SCDF responds to emergencies!

19.  Visit The Travelling Exhibition & Contribute To The Founders Memorial

The Share Your Story, Shape Our Memorial travelling exhibition showcases different stories of Singapore's past through various panels and is aimed at letting younger Singaporean better appreciate the nation-building years.

The exhibition also features a public call for artefacts and stories that represent Singapore’s nation-building years. Singaporeans are once again invited to play a part in the making of the Memorial by contributing their very own artefacts and stories from the 1950s to 1970s to the Memorial. Contribution can be submitted online with a wishlist containing examples of artefacts and stories that the Memorial is looking for available on the Founders’ Memorial website.

20. Enjoy A Drive-In Movie @ Downtown East

Downtown East’s signature Drive-In Movie Screening will return on May 28. The experience will take place at Downtown East’s Begonia Open-air Carpark (along Pasir Ris Drive 3), will be showing Marvel’s blockbuster Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings.

The most kid-friendly part of the garden is definitely the musical playground where people of all ages and abilities can come together to create music and sounds! So let the little ones try their hands on the xylophone, drum set, as well as other percussion instruments here!
