1. Forest Play - Nature Play For Kids!
Unlike the typical one-size-fits-all playground, Forest Play is a space uniquely designed for kids where they will be given free rein to build whatever they want, and however they want!
Under the watchful eyes of the playworkers, children will use material like recycled wood, tyres and ropes to bring their ideas to life! In this two-hour session, children will create collaboratively, build imaginatively and use tools safely in an adult-free zone under the facilitation of the experienced play-workers.

2. Admiralty Park - The "Best" Outdoor Playground For Kids (FREE)
With 26 slides located at the outdoor playground, we believe that Admiralty Park's Outdoor Playground is THE playground to go if you only have time for one! The park is divided into 3 main areas - Junior Play, Adventure Play and Family Play. Each catered for different age groups and for varying degree of adventure.

3. Outdoor and Water Play At Jurong Lake Garden (FREE)
At Jurong Lake Gardens, you can find not one but two nature playgrounds - Forest Ramble, a dry playground and Clusia Cove, a water play area. Drawing inspiration from the movements and actions of the animals that live in a freshwater swamp, Forest Ramble presents 13 nature-based play structures. Expect slides, spring boards, climbing nets, tunnels, bridges, and much more. Forest Ramble also has an inclusive play area consisting of swings, merry-go-round and musical play panels.
Clusia Cove’s tidal pool is uniquely designed to mimic water movements of coastal shores. You can splash about and waddle around in the tidal pools as well as engage the tidal gates to manipulate the flow of water. There is also a small sand play area here, so you can expect to get dirty as well.
4. Visit Dinosaurs At Jurassic Mile, Changi (FREE)
Linking Changi Park to East Coast Park is the Changi Airport Connector, and home to the Changi Jurassic Mile. This permanent outdoor display of life-sized dinosaurs includes more than 20 different pre-historic creatures displayed along the one-kilometre cycling and jogging path.
Head over in the evenings and catch the area light-up too (it is stated to be available till 3 Jan only, but remains available on 8 Feb 2021)! We recommend visiting twice for the different day and night experience!
5. Ride Around Singapore's Park Connectors (FREE)
Did you know that Singapore's parks are connected by the Park Connector Network? This includes the Round Island Route, a 150km park connector that goes around Singapore. Here are our selection of the 8 best cycling routes and nature trails in Singapore!
You can even connect from one to another, example visiting the Jurassic Mile from East Coast Park through the Changi Park Connector! And don't worry about not having a bike, here's a list of the best bicycle rentals in Singapore too!
6. Go on a Nature Walk at these Family-Friendly Trails (FREE)
On the topic of trails, if your kids are not yet riding, you may wish to head out to explore these 8 Nature Walking Trails for families to experience an "out of the city" trip and reconnect with nature.
7. Go on a Nature Walk with Young Nautilus
If you prefer to go with a guide and to explore Singapore's beaches and coastal area, why not check out Young Nautilus' Nature Walk Programmes. Suitable for kids from 2 yrs old, Young Nautilus looks to expose children to science and nature, and to stimulate an inquisitive mind during these journey into nature!

8. Explore the Nature Playgarden at Hort Park (FREE)
If nature is your family's thing and play is for the kids, you will want to check out the Nature Playgarden at Hort Park. The playgarden is part of NParks’ Biophilic Playgarden Plan which is specially designed for pre-schoolers, and centres around the concept of biophilia, which refers to the nature of humans to connect with other living things.
There is no structured learning as the play area encourages kids to engage in open play with lots of nature elements too!
9. Skim Alley - Singapore First & Only Flatland Skimboarding Facility
Skim Alley is Singapore’s first and only flatland skimboarding pool facility situated in the quiet and rustic venue in Heritage Chalet along Pasir Ris Beach. Not only is it a trending activity for the adults, it is also great for a day of fun for families too!
10. An Escape Adventure Walking Tour with Island Wanderer SG
If you prefer to go on a "Free and Easy" tour, you may want to check out the Escape Adventure Trails by Island Wanderer SG. These trails include escape-room style puzzles and amazing-race elements, delivered via a chatbot, to make your walk more exciting!
Each trail take about 1.5hr to complete and includes 8 - 10 sites with puzzles and clues for the family to solve!
11. Go on Sailing with DBS Marina Bay Sailing Programme (FREE)
Set sail on the SB20 (a 4-men crew boat, which is commonly used for racing) and the SM40 (which has an impressive height of about 4 storeys), and experience the view of Singapore's Marina Bay from a different perspective.
The DBS Marina Bay Sailing Programme is part of the bank's commitment to enliven the bay. Slots are highly popular and registration is required.
12. Go on a Art Tour at Kampung Glam
The heritage district of Kampung Glam is a blend of old, new and full of art. You can walk through the streets and discover history and street art at every turn. Take a walk or join a tour, and you might be surprise with what you may find!

14. Visit The Fire Station Open House This Weekend! (FREE)
Popular with families is the Fire Station Open House where families can learn about the daily operations of a Fire Station, the different roles of SCDF and the Civil Defence system manned by personnel on round-the-clock standby.
15. Ride the Playground Train at Tiong Bahru Park (FREE)
A consistent top outdoor playground inclusion, the Train Playground at Tiong Bahru Park does not disappoint with its quirky design, different play elements and definitely because it includes sand play too! Plus points - it's just 5mins from Tiong Bahru MRT and there are shaded areas for families to rest in too!
16. Visit a Singapore Farm
Singapore boost a number of farms in Singapore for families to visit, this includes Hay Diaries, Bollywood Veggies, and others. From animal feeding to learning about farming, these farms have brought families much joy over the years. Simply google farms in Singapore and you might be surprise by the number of results!
Unfortunately, as a land-scared country, many of these farms may not exist in the future as the land are taken back by the government for redevelopment. So why not visit them while they are still around!
17. Visit Sentosa's Magical Shores (FREE)
An interactive experience on Sentosa's Siloso beach, the captivating Magical Shores spans across 400m of the beach, and will provide the family with excitement through interactive light art on the beach and music filling the air!
18. Visit A Themed Outdoor Playgrounds in Singapore
There are several themed-indoor playgrounds (and cafes!) in Singapore and if you are raising little humans, you are probably already aware of them. But did you know that our little red dot also has a number of themed outdoor playgrounds?
Not only will kids get to enjoy the slides, swings and all the fun things in a playground but they will also get to role-play and fly-off on pretend adventures at these themed playgrounds!
19. Visit The Animals at the Singapore Zoo
The Singapore Zoo probably does not require much introductions. If the weather is nice, why not take a trip down and let the little ones explore and learn more about animals - don't forget to check out if there are any special events happening at the Zoo!
20. Splash Around Oasis Waterpark @ Yishun (FREE)
Located within the HDB blocks at Yishun is an absolute gem! The Oasis Waterpark is free with 3 main playing areas and bathing facilities too! It may require a little getting to, but it will be worth it!
21. Splash Around at Gardens by the Bay Waterpark (FREE)
Another must-go water play is the Water Play @ Far East Organisation Children's Garden located at Gardens by the Bay. At this play area, you will also find a toddler's play area and sand play too!
22. Splash Around at Singapore Sports Hub - Splash 'N' Surf (FREE)
Located at Kallang Wave Mall / Singapore Sports Hub is the Splash 'N' Surf water playground with slides and water play for the young and young at heart! It is perfect for a family outing with the nearby mall and stadium adding more activities for an entire day of fun!
23. Visit a Neighbourhood Playground for Family Fun (FREE)
Not all of us enjoy getting wet, but if it is free playground that you are looking for you can definitely find a neighbourhood playground near you for that FREE family fun!

24. Go Longkang Fishing With The Kids!

With the kids getting more digital, families are often seeking offline activities to engage the little ones. Here's an interesting idea, Longkang Fishing, which literally means Drain Fishing. Various location offers this activity in a similar, but cleaner and safer, venue. This includes the Longkang Fishing at ORTO, at Bugis+, and Ang Mo Kio.
25. Catch Some Prawns With Your Little Ones
For the older kids, Longkang fishing might be too "kiddish" while actual fishing might be too physical, the in-between option is to go prawning! There are many venues offering prawning, including at ORTO and Bugis+.
26. Go Speeding with Kids Go-Karting
Besides offering Singapore's largest outdoor go-kart track, local karting circuit company, KF1 has also started the KF1 Kiddy Circuit for kids to get the racing experience at Singapore Expo.
The circuit is located under a shelter, and while it is not a huge area, we believe it is enough for the kids to have lots of fun as they zip through the circuit and "discover" the different landmarks that have been placed around the tracks.
27. Play With Dinosaurs @ The New Dino-Themed Water Play at Causeway Point (FREE)
Families can expect more fun and excitement in their next visit to Causeway Point with the opening of the new Dino-themed wet playground! Located at Level 7 of the mall, the playground includes slides, splashes and water sprouts designed as dinosaurs and more!
28. Feed the Birds at Jurong Bird Park
From penguins and pelicans to parrots and swans, Jurong Bird Park is a sanctuary of colourful birds of various kinds. You may also feed the birds at the park too - don't forget to check out our posts for latest promotions too!

The Universal Studios Singapore has got you and your little tykes covered for the day with exciting shows, thrilling rides and your favorite characters. Maybe one day might not even be enough to fully explore the theme park!

Gardens by the Bay is a must-visit, and even more so is the magical musical performance, Garden Rhapsody! Happening every evening at the SuperTree Grove, there are 10 different shows planned for 2021, so there's always a reason to head down again!
33. Splash Into The Pool at Jurong East Swimming Complex!
Heading into Jurong East Swimming Complex, you will be surprise that this is a public swimming complex because it is built like an attraction! Here you can expect a lazy river, 3 water slides, jacuzzi and more!

34. Get Amazed at the Singapore Science Centre
Many parents will have wonderful experiences at the Science Centre as kids, and now it is the time to help you kids built those memories too! Learn how science works and explore the many quirky exhibitions!
35. Venture Into KidsSTOP and Snow City!
Located at the same venue as the Science Centre, families may also wish to extend their visit to include the kids play venue, KidsSTOP, and Singapore first (and only) indoor snow centre, Snow City!
36. Visit the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome
If visiting the Gardens by the Bay, the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome are definitely worth paying to visit too! This is especially so when the conservatories are hosting special events like the Dahlia Dreams, Sakura Display, and more!

37. Get Bewitched at Jewel Changi Airport
Not just a mall, a trip to Jewel Changi Airport is an experience! The family may choose to visit one of the many attractions, including the Canopy Park, the Manulife Sky Nets, or simply marvel at the HSBC Rain Vortex!
There are also lots of retail and F&B options in the vicinity too!

The National Library Board organises regular workshops and events at the libraries around Singapore. This includes storytelling in various languages, workshops for kids and families, and more! Most events are free, with some requiring registration.
40. Enjoy Free Storytelling At Gateway Theatre (FREE)
Gateway Arts is a not-for-profit arts organisation that focuses on nurturing talent in emerging artists, and inspiring the next generation of audiences, whilst providing meaningful arts programmes to underserved communities in Singapore.
They organise a weekly kids programme that includes storytelling, arts and crafts, and free play activities. All activities are a way for parents to get involved with their kids in arts-related activities.
41. Cool Off On The Ice Rink

The joke is that Singapore has 3 seasons, Hot, Hotter and Air-Conditioned! Head over to one of the only 2 skating rinks in Singapore to experience our 3rd season! The skating rinks are located at Kallang Leisure Park at East Coast and JCube at Jurong!
42. Skate Indoors with HiRoller Indoor Skating
Head down to the HiRoller Indoor Skating Rink and try your hands (feet) on roller-skating or inline-skating! That's a way to have rolling good fun with the family!

44. Visit The Yakult Factory!
The Yakult Factory Tour is a 1.5 hour tour of the state-of-the-art plant located at Senoko Avenue (Woodlands). It has welcomed visitors across all ages from pre-schoolers to senior citizens - and the physical has just reopened in Aug 2022!
Only problem is that you will need to gather a min. of 20 pax to book a tour.
45. Spend a Day at the Aquarium
There's something calming about watching fishes swim leisurely. If this is your thing (or if sharks are your kids' thing), a trip to the S.E.A Aquarium cannot be missed.

Located at the top floor of Kitchener Complex, XM Studios' concept store is a hidden gem for families looking for an interesting (and FREE) experience where you will get to discover over 300 cartoon and comic statue collectibles with lots of photo opportunities and end your exploration at the in-house cafe to rest your feet too!
