1. Christmas Screenings: Adventures from Moominvalley

ArtScience on Screen is bringing some festive cheer with a season-long screening of wintry themed episodes from Adventures from Moominvalley, the 1990-91 series that follows the magical quests of a young Moomin and his friends in the idyllic Moominvalley.

A Japanese-Finnish-Dutch production based on creator Tove Jansson’s Moomin novels and comic strips, Adventures from Moominvalley is also the third anime adaptation that was said to be Jansson’s favourite version!

All five episodes will be screened back to back in each session. Walk-in seats are only available subject to venue capacity and on a first-come-first-served basis, as such, you are encouraged to pre-book your seats online. Though do note that if you’re later 5 minutes for your pre-booked session, your seat will be released for walk-ins.

Discover Total Defence-themed activities such as battleground obstacle course, cybersecurity virtual reality game, lifesaving skills, professional upskilling and more. Unwind with Learn & Play activities and free try-outs. Get creative with Families for Life Art kits and online workshops, pick up new skills from enrichment workshops and get adventurous with fitness workouts and sports try-outs.

Also, lend a helping hand to the less privileged with Gift for a Reason, SAFRA’s annual CSR drive that will be expanded to all SAFRA clubs this year.

3. Heritage Hunt at Malay Heritage Centre

Have you heard of the Urang Banjar (Banjarese)? Did you know that the Banjarese are part of the Malay community in Singapore? In this year’s Heritage Hunt, the young Heritage Hunters will go on a self-guided quest to uncover the Urang Banjar. Heritage Hunters are to explore the Urang Banjar Special Exhibition for clues to help them complete their journey!

Once you’re done, all Heritage Hunters will get a goodie bag with exclusive Heritage Hunt giveaways. Do note that the program is strictly for kids 6 to 12 years old and all kids must be accompanied by one parent or guardian. You can register a spot for your little explorers online

4. Storytelling Series: Seeds and Trees

Based on the book by Kristen and Kevin Howdeshell, Seeds and Trees is a story about a young prince who loved to climb trees and collect seeds. Join Storyteller Dwayne in learning about the power of words, and how they can hurt or help people.

5. Christmas Wonderland 2020

The annual Christmas Wonderland that has enchanted many at the Gardens by the Bay returns once again this year with a revamp! The seventh edition of the festive event will feature specially curated stunning light installations in brand new designs, including the Spalliera, Path of Tranquility, Cassa Armonica and more at Gardens by the Bay in the Walk of Lights.

Complementing the physical event is an online digital wonderland packed with interactive content, games galore for all ages, festive performances, and shopping from the comfort of your home.
