Whether you’re looking for a much-needed escape from the muggy weather or you simply love splish-splashing, here are 5 water parks in Johor to indulge in water play with your little ones!

1. LEGOLANDŸ Water Park

LEGOLAND¼ Water Park has all three ‘E’s covered—Enriching, Engaging and Entertaining.

Interactive play structures alone, ranging from Build-A-Raft River and Imagination Station to DUPLOŸ Splash Safari to Joker Soaker, are enough to keep you and your little ones entertained for hours. 

When you’re ready to take it up a notch and experience an all-time adrenaline rush, go swishing down tunnel and spiral slides, and let the surf take you on a bumpy ride at the wave pool. If you want to bring your heart rate back to normal, simply drift along the lazy river.

With over 20 slides and even more attractions to explore, you can easily lose a whole day at LEGOLANDÂź Water Park before you know it and it would be absolutely worth it.

2. Austin Heights Water Park

Austin Heights Water Park is a scaled down version of LEGOLANDÂź, albeit without all the Legos but with just as much fun.

If you love the feeling of your heart dropping to your stomach, you’ll love slides like G-Force Alley and Yellow Wall. If you’re looking for something a little lower of the thrill scale, you can float along where the flow takes you at the Wave Pool or Lazy River.

For the kids, there is a separate zone featuring a playground, several slides and water showers.

 3. Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast

Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast does not disappoint adventure-seekers. Set against the backdrop of a traditional Malaysian fishing village, the spacious water park offers a mixture of dry and wet rides. Scattered across five themed zones - Penawar Falls, Penawar River, Shipwreck Reef, Tidal Wave Beach, and Kids Ahoy - are thrilling rides as well as gentle water play. 

The Kraken's Revenge is a combination roller coaster and splashing fume ride that takes thrill seekers up 30 metres before spinning through a full ‎360Âș horizontal loop followed by a diving 27-metre drop to the shipwrecking Kraken sea monster waiting in the pool of water below. The Swinging Ship is a more mild ride where a replica pirate ship arches up to 180 degrees in both directions.

For the little ones, Kids Ahoy has three age-appropriate play areas filled with water play equipment and a combined total of 13 different water slides. 

Facilities at the water park include locker and towel rentals, shower and changing rooms, and cabana rental. There is also a gift shop and eateries where you can recharge your batteries. The Octo-Bites Cafe, located in the Kids' Ahoy zone serves up kid-sized portions for the little tummies.  

4. KSL Dinosaurs Alive Water Theme Park

The KSL Dinosaurs Alive Water Theme Park amuses both kids and adults alike, even if you're not a huge dinosaur fan. Located in the center of Johor Bahru, the main highlight of this water park are the huge replicas of various prehistoric creatures such as Brachiosaurus and T-rex. In addition to the animatronic dinosaurs, this kid-centric water park also features slides, water buckets, shallow pools and tunnel with water sprays, among others. 

5. Tiram Indoor Water Park [Closed]

Rain or shine, little ones can play all they want in water or land till they tire at Tiram Indoor Water Park, consisting of a sea-world-themed wet park with gigantic octopus, seahorses and dolphins making appearances around the pool and a pirate-themed dry park featuring a huge ball pit, slides, mini flying fox and a trampoline.
