Park Hotel Clarke Quay ushers in the Year of the Ox with sumptuous spreads of Chinese New Year delights to accompany joyful reunions. Specially curated by the hotel's Banquet Chef James Wong, there are four set menus available for dine-in or takeaway via self-collection or delivery.

This year, the refreshing Prosperity Tuna Yu Sheng Platter features an array of auspicious ingredients to welcome health and wealth. The yellowfin tuna slices, coated in sesame seeds and seaweed flakes, lead the festive celebrations with its deep red hue. Prepared tataki style, the tuna slices are paired with a vibrant medley of white and green radish and carrot, purple cabbage, pickled vegetables, and crowned with torch ginger flower and a chiffonade of kaffir lime leaves.

Also on the menu are Superior Braised Fish Maw with Crabmeat and Homemade Stuffed Crab Claw, Steamed Red Garoupa with Yellow Bean Paste, Fragrant Crispy Duck, Salted Egg Yolk Golden Tiger Prawn, and an indulgent dessert of Crispy Durian, among others.

Do note that orders for takeaway must be placed at least 3 days in advance.

Yàn is offering six set menus for dine-in, ranging from five to eight courses (from $128++ to $228++ per person), including an eight-course vegetarian menu ($78++ per person). Selected items on these set menus will also be available for a la carte orders from 12 February to 26 February 2021.

This year’s festive menu includes Abalone & Yellowtail with Gold Foil Lo Hei prepared in Yàn’s signature savoury Shunde-style, Braised Spring Chicken with 6 Head Whole Abalone, as well as the Wok-fried Local Lobster with Superior Sauce and Shrimp Egg and Ee Fu Noodles, among others.

Usher in a year of abundance with a bounteous Yàn Harvest Pen Cai (from $300), featuring eighteen ingredients, such as abalone, whole conpoy, fish maw, sea cucumber, soya chicken, and sea moss, nestled in a charming claypot.

For takeaway, you have the six-course Lunar New Year Family Feast ($88 nett per person; minimum 4 persons). Featuring festive-must-haves such as a classic Salmon Yusheng, Barbecue Honey Pork & Roast Pork Belly, and flavoursome Steamed Black Cod Fillet with Truffle Oil and Minced Garlic, the menu is available from 28 Jan to 26 Feb 2021.

Morganfield’s has brought back the all-time favourite sticky sweet goodness of their Honey Rum sauce in celebration of the Chinese New Year. Infused with aromatic golden honey, pineapple and rum, the Honey Rum sauce is glazed onto Morganfield’s signature dry-rubbed ribs and finished on the grill for a sweet and savoury indulgence. Sink your teeth into the sweet and sticky Honey Rum Baby Back Ribs and you’ll find an unexpectedly delicious burst of honey with a slight rum kick. A sweet and delightful taste that will ensure plenty of sweetness and prosperity for the year ahead!

Add a touch of extra auspiciousness with delightful festive treats like the sweet and sticky Honey Wings, auspicious Crispy Golden Ingots and smoky Candied Bacon! And complete the meal with the new Pineapple Honey Mojito that is sweet and refreshing!

This New Year, indulge in The Deli’s newly introduced sweet and savoury creations such as Maple Butter and Almond Garlic Lotus Root Chips, Walnut Cookies, Lucky Fortune Oranges (kumquat butter cake and marble cake), Gong Xi ‘Huat’ Cai! (pineapple crumble tart), and Bountiful Box of Sweet Blessings - a stunning collection of 15 petit tarts and cakes in a medley of flavours to please family and friends.

The line-up at Min Jiang includes the MJ Five Fortune Takeaway Appetiser Platter, Double-boiled Abalone Soup and Eel Fish Maw with handmade Prawn Dumplings and Minced Pork Balls in Claypot, Slow-braised Spicy Oxtail with Pickled Mustard and Enoki Mushrooms in Claypot, and Chilled D24 Durian ‘Nian Gao’ Roll, among others.

Min Jiang at Dempsey presents the MJD Five Fortune Takeaway Appetiser Platter, Braised Pork Belly, Meatball with Crabmeat in Beancurd Pockets and Sea Treasures in Claypot, Double-boiled Chicken Soup with Abalones and 'Ba Wang Hua', and Bird’s Nest, Sweet Potato Jelly and Fresh Fruits in Dragonfruit accompanied by ‘Nian Gao’ with Teochew-style Candied Brittle.

The Lunar New Year Treats and Abundant Feasting Specials will be available for takeaway or delivery from The Deli and Min Jiang (Goodwood Park Hotel) as well as Min Jiang at Dempsey.

This year Min Jiang’s ‘yu sheng’, Joyful Blessings ‘Lo Hei’ features raw salmon slices, wasabi flying fish roe, dried kombu, jellyfish, agar agar strips and an array of romaine lettuce, wild arugula, yellow frisee, and red shiso, among others.

Min Jiang at Dempsey’s ‘yu sheng’, Auspicious Abundance ‘Lo Hei’ is crowned with steamed Alaskan crab leg meat in a crunchy rice cracker, laid on a bed of vegetables such as romaine lettuce, wild arugula, yellow frisee, red, white and green radishes, pickled ginger, and fresh pomelo.

Do note that advance orders of five days are required for deliveries and takeaways.

Si Chuan Dou Hua is kicking off 2021’s Chinese New Year celebrations with a bountiful array of inspiring Chinese New Year delicacies. The restaurant’s Lunar New Year set menus are available from $88 onwards per person.

Prosperity Exotic Garden with Bolete Mushroom in Homemade Bolete Mushroom and Osmanthus Sauce features more than 10 types of fresh vegetables such as green and red lettuce, red and yellow beetroot, turnip, soybean sprouts, kelp, and cucumber. This colourful assortment is further dressed with Japanese Matsutake and cordyceps flower.

You can also get Double-boiled Wagyu Brisket Soup with Matsutake, Braised Ee Fu Noodle with Assorted Seafood, Crispy Brown Rice with Two Head Abalone in Superior Stock, Roast Suckling Pig, and Pan-fried New Year Cake with Soya Bean Crisps at Si Chuan Dou Hua at PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road.

BreadTalk’s line-up of festive goodies ranges from visually enticing and tasty buns, delectable cakes and salted egg pastries to savoury and sweet cookies selections. These limited-time products will be available for purchase at all BreadTalk outlets island-wide and online.

You can look forward to delights like Bountiful Fortune ($2.20), an amped-up rendition of the original Flosss; Prosperity Duo ($2.60), a striking two-piece Ox horn-shaped bread; Fortune Pillow ($2.20), a sweet bun designed to resemble Chinese New Year couplets, and; Golden Flosss-ful ($2.30), a skilfully-crafted Ox-horn shaped croissant dressed with BreadTalk’s famed egg cream and pork floss.

This year BreadTalk presents its largest festive cookie collection to date with treats like Prosperity Pineapple Pastry, Coffee Butter Cookie, Wasabi Rice Roll, Mini Matcha White Chocolate, Rose Butter Cookie, and many more.

Inspired by French Pierre Hermé’s famed Ispahan creation, Lychee Rose Macaron flavour, Pretty Pink ($35.80), presents a fruity combination of lychee and rose raspberry layers on vanilla chiffon cake. Each piece of world-famous Hot & Crispy chicken is coated in a blend of salted egg, curry leaves and sweet basil; the perfect flavour to welcome good luck in 2021! This Chinese New Year, on 13 and 14 Feb 2021, Zafferano is offering a Lunar New Year-themed Champagne Brunch at their restaurant. The festive edition features a sumptuous assortment of starters, pasta, risotto, and main courses, as well as desserts. Contemporary Italian fare, including dishes inspired by flavours of Chinese festive delights, are served sharing style at every table – just like how Italians and Chinese have celebrated gatherings across generations.

Brunch highlights include hearty main courses, such as a succulent honey-roasted duck breast with five spices jus, a whole steamed barramundi with garlic scapes, ginger, and soy sauce, and assorted desserts and fruits.
