What can packaging from the past tell us? Apparently quite a lot from how canning pineapples was part of our history to how packaging design evolved with the changing consumer behaviors.

If you thought grocery delivery is a new thing of the internet era, did you know that Cold Storage started a delivery system in 1935!

More interesting to share will be the familiar packaging from your grandmother's (your kids great grandmother's) era and there is a sense of nostalgia just going through the exhibits.

Family Corner

Kids may go around the Feely (pronounced feel-ly) Boxes around the gallery to feel the food packaging materials inside, and make a guess. Is it Paper, Plastic, Metal or Glass?

You won't miss the large Wall Mural, which is aimed at helping Ah Gong and Ah Ma share with Ah Boy and Ah Girl, the food packaging materials that they are familiar with back in the days.

The Old and New Packaging corner lets the kids try their hands at mixing and matching food packaging from the past and present to compare the difference between the types of packaging for the same items! Example, you can have soy bean milk in cups, plastic bags and cans!
