Here's a list of weekly family fun events and experiences for you to create family fun this week!

Here's our weekly list of family fun to-dos to help you create lots of fun times with the kids! We see a mix of indoors and outdoors, cultural and exciting, paid and free activities happening this week. So read on and get ready to head out for more family fun!

1. Rollerskating and More at The Xperience Pop-up at CQ @ Clarke Quay

From now till 31 July 2024, The Xperience, a 10,000 sq ft fully air-conditioned pop-up space, will be at the iconic riverfront destination, CQ @ Clarke Quay, promising to keep your family thoroughly entertained with Rollermania 4.0, Singapore’s first White Rabbit Pop-up Cafe and The Xmmersive Games! 

Rollermania 4.0 is a thematic pop-up roller-skating rink that puts a new spin on the term ‘concrete jungle’ with its nature-themed rink. Breeze through the fully air-conditioned rink spanning over 4,000 sq ft in new ergonomic skate assists surrounded by over-hanging fauna and be transported to an urban escape. 

At The Xmmersive Games, families get to try your hand at 3 kinds of skill-based carnival games, over 15 immersive simulators including a VR Rabbids ride, and more than 8 interactive Claw Machines including 5 Sweetland Claw Machines filled with attractive prizes! 

Don't forget to drop by the  White Rabbit Pop-up Cafe for photo ops and to grab your snacks and drinks too! 

2. Get Creative and Play at the New The Artground Art Installation - M.A.P.

Venue: The Artground at Goodman Art Centre, 90 Goodman Rd, #01-40 BLK J, Singapore 439053
Dates: 21 Apr 2024 - 30 Mar 2025
Admission: $15 refundable deposit

Get ready to venture into the futuristic landscape of transportation with M.A.P. (Many Alternative Possibilities). Developed by a group of enthusiastic youths with a love for innovation and a knack for thinking outside the box, M.A.P. is a dynamic space where creativity and innovation collide in the realm of transportation.

Discover the creative play space at The Artground at Goodman Art Centre and let children come explore and have fun at the same time! From creating their own versions of transport vehicles using blue foams to climbing and sliding on the art installations, there is fun all around the art space. 

The experience is free with a $15 refundable deposit, and more programmes will be announced to complement the space too! 

3. Visit the Newly Opened Buona Vista Community Node

Venue: Intersection of North Buona Vista Road and Commonwealth Avenue

Along the southern stretch of the Rail Corridor, the Buona Vista Community Node is new 1.6ha space along the Rail Corridor offering access to additional community spaces that includes a playground, fitness areas and open lawn. 

Highlights to the space include a children’s playground with biophilic elements, fitness areas for adults and the elderly, a plug-and-play space underneath the North Buona Vista Link viaduct for community and sports activities, and a 500 sqm community lawn that serves as a flexible events space.

4. Celebrate Hari Raya at Raya at Sports Hub

Venue: Singapore Sports Hub and Kallang Wave Mall
Dates: 4 and 5 May 2024
Admission: Free

Keep the festive spirit alive and celebrate Hari Raya alongside loved ones at Raya at Sports Hub from 4 to 5 May 2024! Patrons can bond with loved ones and look forward to an array of activities taking place inside Kallang Wave Mall, including Malay cultural experiences, performances and workshops – ensuring there's something for everyone.

Enjoy captivating cultural showcases, including traditional Malay dances, Kompang ensemble renditions, and a Silat martial arts demonstration. These showcases highlight the beauty and depth of Malay traditions, providing a rich cultural experience for all. Visitors can explore Malay heritage with well-loved activities like henna art, and workshops on batik painting, and modern and Arabic calligraphy. 

Wrap up your celebrations with live performances and meet-and-greet sessions by sensational rising star Shazza and 2009 Singapore Idol winner Sezairi Sezali. 

Activities and performances will take place on both days from 2pm to 9pm.

5. Visit the Singapore Navy Museum for Navy Day 2024

Venue: Singapore Navy Museum
Date: 5 May 2024, 10 am - 5 pm
Admission: Free

Head down to the Singapore Navy Museum on 5 May 2024 for Navy Day 2024! Explore the museum and take part in entertaining activities, an exclusive tour and engaging presentations that gives you an insight into the rich history of the Singapore Navy, and to showcase the strength and resilience of our maritime forces. 

Here's what you can expect at Navy Day 2024!

  • Navy's Crucible Presentations: Embark on a voyage through naval history at the Navy’s Crucible in the Museum. 
  • Craft Activities: Get creative and craft your own R.S.S. Singapura hat.
