The June summer holidays is a long-awaited mid-year breather that many look forward to. School children get to be on a long holiday break, and this is a time for many families to enjoy more bonding time together amidst Singapore’s busy pace of life. This June, City Square Mall has lined up a variety of activities and events that's suitable for the whole family! Here's taking a closer look at what you and your little ones can expect:
Home Balcony Landscape Display
Venue: Basement 1 Fountain Square
Date: 16 to 25 Jun 2023
As part of City Square Mall’s efforts to encourage home gardening and contribute towards a greener Singapore, the mall will be working with tertiary institutions to host a Landscape Design Competition! Participating teams will be given a 2.5m by 2.5m space to make their Home Balcony concept come alive through the use of home furnishings and plant displays. These masterpieces will then be on display from 16 to 25 June 2023.
Through this competition, the mall hopes to inspire more individuals to turn an outdoor space into a beautiful yet functional area for the family, as well as to provide a home for plants and nature in this otherwise urbanised city.
Vote for “My Favourite Home Balcony Landscape” on City Square Mall’s Facebook page from 16 to 20 June 2023 and win attractive prizes. Three winners from the highest voted entry will each walk away with $30 CDL gift vouchers and a pair of Golden Village movie tickets. Summer Market

Adding on to the summer vibes, City Square Mall will also be holding a summer market, featuring a wide range of retail products for families to browse and purchase, such as fresh local produce, homemade bakes, sustainable lifestyle accessories and clothing products. For those who want to take part in something more hands-on, there will also be workshops available for you to learn how to create your own handicrafts and eco-friendly products.

The fun this June holidays would not be complete without Singapore’s longest-standing and leading provider of carnivals and family entertainment - Uncle Ringo! This time, Uncle Ringo will be launching their latest addition of massive bouncy garden-themed inflatables, creating the perfect summer atmosphere at the mall. These inflatables are perfect for capturing insta-worthy photos with your loved ones while providing endless fun for the little ones.
Roving Balloonist and Mime

The little ones can be entertained by the balloon sculpting artist and mime artist who will be making a special appearance at the mall this June holidays! Witness a remarkable performance as the mime artist enchants audiences with her silent comedy, spreading joy through expressive gestures and facial expressions.
Additionally, the balloon sculpting artist will captivate the children by skillfully crafting a variety of balloon sculptures right before your eyes. In line with the mall’s “Summer in Bloom” theme, the balloon sculpting artist will be giving out balloon sculptures like flower petal balloons and flower balloon hats. As a delightful momento, the mime artist will also be giving out flowers for you to take home during the June holidays!
Creative PLAYground: Songs of Sustenance

To add to the vibrant and lively ambiance of the June summer holidays, get ready for “Songs of Sustenance” presented by a mixed ensemble comprising students, alumni, staff and industry partners of NAFA's Faculty of Performing Arts. The group will present a mix of selected original compositions by students from the School of Music's Pop Song Arrangement module, along with contemporary covers of popular songs along the themes of hope and sustainability. This live performance will be the perfect way for you to unwind with your friends and family, as you enjoy a myriad of tunes!

Do also keep a lookout for large flora inflatables situated at different parts of the mall and snap a photo at these instagrammable spots with your friends and loved ones.
