The Singapore Sky Lantern Festival will be happening at Palawan Green on 21 Feb 2024 and this will be the first time that the event is held in Singapore, as stated on its Eventbrite page.

The entire event will run from 3 pm till mid-night with a music festival and cultural performances kicking off until 7 pm. Lanterns will be released in batches from 7.30 pm till 9.30 pm before an after-party continues till mid-night!
There will also be local and international food, snacks and drinks options at the venue!
Releasing the Lanterns
Lanterns will be released in 5 batches as per the CAAS and SCDF guidelines, and there will not be free release of lanterns, instead lanterns will be tethered to the ground with a 60m string attached. This is to prevent the lanterns from floating away and becoming waste.
The lanterns will float for about 5 to 10 mins, and participants can bring down the lantern after the candle subsides. There will also be safety marshallers to assist and ensure that lanterns remain tethered or to deal with fire-related contingencies.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite at $50 per pax (not including fees). Children between 0 to 7 years old can enter for free.
