Octoburst!, Esplanade’s yearly children’s festival is here once again with an exciting line-up of exuberant programs, from storytelling sessions and hands-on activities to a wide variety of dance, music and theatre performances!

Out of the myriad of free and ticketed programs, we bring you the 5 FREE programs you should check out with your little ones!

1. Pipe-ful Play Garden

Team up with your little ones and set your hands to work on building a pipe maze! Unlike putting together an IKEA furniture, you’re free to be as imaginative as you want with your structure!

2. BONDS

Gather around to listen to the riveting tale of Zoe, a curious girl, as she uncovers the secrets of a mystery cupboard she found in her home!

Stay back after the storytelling session for the craft activity and put together a time capsule with your little ones. Keep it sealed and open it years down the road for a nostalgic hello from the past you!

Make some noise and groove to the beat at this vibrant musical performance, a, 5, 6, 7, 8! by Musical Monkeys featuring musical theatre classics but not the way you’ve seen them rendered!

4. DON! DON! DON! - Japanese rhythms and music

Take an auditory ride to Japan through Japanese music by HIBIKIYA! Immerse yourselves in the distinctive tunes of various traditional and modern musical instruments such as taiko, shamisen and shinobue.

If you’re lucky, your little ones may even get chosen to try their hands at playing the taiko!

5. Let’s Sing, Play and Move!
