The Crane Dance and the Maritime Experiential Museum will be closed from Monday, 2 March 2020 for the redevelopment of the waterfront promenade and the expansion of the S.E.A Aquarium respectively

Two attractions at Resorts World Sentosa will welcome visitors for the final time on Sunday, 1 March 2020 to make way for the major RWS 2.0 expansion and transformation. We share more about what's going and what's new!

The Crane Dance

Premiered on Christmas Day, 25 Dec 2010, the Crane Dance tells a magical and touching story about a pair of mechanical cranes and how their love for each other transforms them from inanimate objects into real birds.

Featuring digital art, LED displays, light and water effects, pyrotechnics as well as an original score, the Crane Dance is a visually-stunning waterfront performance! The show will continue its free nightly 10-minute performance at 8 pm before performing for its last night on the 1st of March 2020.

The Maritime Experiential Museum

Dedicated to the exploration of the Maritime Silk Route, the Maritime Experiential Museum opened on 15 Oct 2011.

Through engaging exhibits, shipwreck artifacts, life-sized ship replicas and a range of educational programmes, the attractions takes guests to a tale of sea adventurers. The highlight, Shipwreck at Typhoon Theatre, is a multi-sensory simulation that allows guests to experience being onboard a burning ship, and facing the wrath of the sea amidst a treacherous storm before sinking into the depth of the ocean.

Opened from 10 am to 7 pm daily, the Maritime Experiential Museum will remain open until 2nd March 2020. From 13th Feb - 1st Mar, enjoy complimentary admission with admission tickets purchased for S.E.A Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark or Universal Studios.

What's New

The Singapore Oceanarium and Waterfront Lifesyle Complex

As part of the development and makeover of RWS, the S.E.A Aquarium will be expanded and taking over the Maritime Experiential Museum. The aquarium will become much larger and rebranded as the Singapore Oceanarium, showcasing an exciting blend of specially-curated marine life and exhibits of prehistoric marine life and deep sea creatures.

Replacing the Crane Dance will be a new Waterfront Lifestyle Complex, housing 2 destination hotels, exciting all-day and all-night dining and lifestyle experiences and an iconic public attraction. The public attraction will feature a nightly show to enliven the night scene and add to the seafront experience!

What do you think? Will you be looking forward to these new changes at RWS?
