Experience the magic of the flora and fauna in Singapore through Story of the Forest!
What is it?
Story of the Forest is an immersive installation of flora and fauna. Created by teamLab, it features 69 drawings from the William Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings.
Your journey will begin on a bridge where flowers of various colours will fall all around you like rain accompanied by lulling music. Spend a few moments here, soaking up the ambience.
When you feel ready, walk through the curtain at the end of the walkway. You’ll come upon a winding pathway where you can walk alongside the virtual wildlife in their habitat.
Enter through a curtain at the end of your path and you will find yourself at the first floor of the glass rotunda, the destination of the exhibition.
You can walk through the circular room and watch the trees sprout or you can simply lie back on one of the bean bags available, which is what I did.
So captivated by the display, I had lost track of the time.

When is it?
Story of the Forest has been a permanent exhibition since 10 Dec 2016 at the National Museum of Singapore. You may tour the exhibition anytime between 10 am and 7 pm, the last admission is at 6.15 pm.

The exhibition is located at level 2 inside the Glass Rotunda of the National Museum of Singapore.

How much is it?
Admission into the exhibition is free for Singaporeans, Permanent Residents and little visitors aged 6 years and below.
Do remember to get a sticker and a ticket at the counter before you proceed to the exhibition! Everyone is required to have a ticket.
